As we head into the new year, it might be the time for you to try some self-assessement tests - you never know what you might learn about yourself!
As one year ends and another begins, we often take stock of our lives and our careers. This is a reflective time, but not the only time to be reflective. While I honestly do NOT believe in creating resolutions based on a specific time of year, I do believe in regular maintenance of my goals and dreams. As we age, our goals and dreams should change to reflect our own personal growth. No idea on how to proceed? The main point here is to do a self assessment. No idea where to begin? Career Intelligence Excellent Assessment tools, BUT you must register to use them. Registration is free - this site is great for other tools as well.
Prioritizing Work Values A FREE survey to do your own assessment - they do tell you how to score and how to evaluate your answers, but what I like best is there is NO real score to compare yourself to - the idea is to compare yourself to yourself - this forces you to do your own self assessment!

So try these out during your free time, even if you are skeptical - they are fun and educational - you often learn something about yourself you didn't realize or didn't want to recognize.
