The Good from the Bad

Does the advice suit you or not? How can you tell the expert from the talker? Who SHOULD you take advice from?

When it comes to advice, everyone's an expert. And it's up to you to decide if that advice suits you or not, or if it is appropriate for you at that time.

All the advice in the world, though, will not help you IF you do not actually DO THE DO. Yep, that does mean you actually have to follow through on the action. Have you actually read your Resume? Made any changes as suggested in other articles to ANY of your business documents? Created a plan of action for your job search? Any contacts for networking?

If not, ask yourself - WHY NOT? What's holding you back from getting ahead? Fear of change? Fear of rejection? Fear of getting ahead??

Even if you can't figure out WHY - then just take it from this point on - and start planning to DO.

There are some excellent articles from Contributing Writers in Career Advice - and another perspective will only enhance YOUR own perspective on your career challenges. I may not agree with everything that's said, but I do think you should still read the offerings - and judge what you can use from ANY of the postings. Just remember to verify the author - does s/he work or have proven experience in the hiring industry?? After all, it's YOUR career on the line.
