Further education enhances your Resume as well as yourself.

Retraining, upgrading, or even just taking courses for personal interest - more companies look favourable on the person committed to education than those who rely on only experience.

Taking a course shows you are willing to expand your mind, and are not only open to new ideas, but more willing to search out new ideas and perspectives. Who do you think will get the job opening - someone who has over 25 years experience but no or limited education past basic requirements, or someone with less experience but the proven skills of learning? And no, it does NOT have to be in your chosen field - the idea is expansion, so even taking that long anticipated photography course will look great on a Resume.

Taking anything in technology (yep, that digital camera course the camera shop offers when you buy your camera counts) shows you are able to embrace new technology and want to learn to use it. Personal courses show your interest in improving your general self - which translates to a happy employee, which translates into a more efficient worker.

So take that course you've always wanted to! It will actually improve your chances at your next job interview or job performance review (didn't think of that benefit, eh?).
