Virtual Admin - finding work

So where do I start? How do I find work as a Virtual Admin?

Being a Virtual Admin often means an almost full-time job in finding the work! You may be lucky enough to pick up one or two local clients, which is all you need to make a decent living. But you still should always be looking for more work - for those potential lean times, or when you need extra cash.

Advertising is great, as is word of mouth. You cannot, however, just rely on these avenues for your revenue. So you do need a plan to attack all those sites on the internet where you just might get a lead for a contract.

But please don't forget your local business area. A few flyers into that industrial complex or medical centre may just help add to your potential span of clients. A good web site (Yours!) is also very handy - and easy to create and maintain. There are so many free hosting sites which allow you to create and use your own page for promoting your work - why not take advantage of this marvelous and free tool? Create an email addy specifically for answering any inquiries - AND check that email account at least once a day (hopefully more often).

As any contract worker - you must be proactive and always looking for a potential lead.

Happy contacting!
